Vitamins and other micronutrients are the only scientifically confirmed means of universal prevention. It should be a human right to be adequately informed about this important aspect of global health. To date, however, this breathtaking perspective has not yet reached global health education.
Anniversary of the first World Vitamin Day
It was the 2nd of July 1992 when Dr Linus Pauling – two-time Nobel laureate and pioneer of vitamin research – took the stage at Mark Hopkins Hospital in San Francisco, California. What he and his companion Dr Matthias Rath announced was equivalent to a revolution in health care: the special importance of vitamins for people’s health and prevention and the breathtaking perspective of these findings. The video recording of this press conference reveals the implications for millions of people worldwide.
This breakthrough in vitamin research inspired thousands of scientists in the international research community to further scientific publications in the following years and initiated a change in the medical world. The adoption of naturopathic approaches coupled with the robust scientific facts from independent research on prevention in the heart and many other problem areas is a milestone in the history of health research. If you look at the mortality rate from heart attacks, you can see a significant reduction since the early 1990s. In Germany alone, these figures have been halved.
Science is the basis of everything
The discovery, presented on the 2nd of July 1992, showed that the development of atherosclerotic deposits in the heart arteries is promoted by a long-term deficiency of vitamin C in the cells. Today we know that vitamin C is essential for maintaining healthy blood vessels and reducing atherosclerosis. The Dr. Rath Research Institute has clinically proven that vitamin C in combination with the amino acids lysine, proline and other specific nutrients can be recommended for the maintenance of healthy arteries and cardiovascular system.
In recognition of this scientific breakthrough, we celebrated World Vitamin Day for the first time on the 2nd of July 2022. The importance of this event for people cannot be overstated. Share this thought with those dear to you, spread this knowledge among all those who can benefit from it!
